Dr. Lisa Mercury-Rea, DC

Dr. Lisa long sensed that she wanted to be involved with a natural health care profession. After receiving her BS in Psychobiology from Binghamton University in NY, she discovered the incredible benefits of chiropractic care for herself as she healed from a snowboarding injury that was causing her chronic pain. This recovery was a life affirming experience and a pivotal turning point in her decision to become a chiropractor.

She then moved to San Jose, CA where she obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in 2002. Lisa and her husband currently live in San Leandro with their two children where they enjoy the vibrant community as a family.

Lisa’s primary passion is her chiropractic practice. Each session with Dr. Lisa focuses on connecting the individual to the healing ability we innately possess by releasing in a peaceful, gentle and yet powerful way stress and tension held in the body. She incorporates chiropractic care with CranioSacral therapy, Biogeometric Integration and soft tissue techniques resulting in a thorough and individualized approach. She also recommends stretching and strengthening exercises to support the healing process as well. Lisa is inspired by her mission of empowering families and those of all ages to achieve the fullest expression of health, vitality and wellness.

Lisa has served on the executive committee as secretary for the California Chiropractic Association (CCA) SF district chapter. Dr Lisa is currently a member of the ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association) and is certified in the Webster Technique.

Lisa has enjoyed contributing to the community through volunteering at events such as the Tae Kwon Do championship tournaments, Avon Breast Cancer Walk, and softball championship games.

In her leisure time, Dr Lisa loves spending time in the sanctuary of the nearby redwoods, camping, hiking, traveling, dancing and yes still continues to snowboard.
